As the weather warms, it is time to start thinking about summer safety. Heatstroke is one of the leading causes of vehicular not-in-traffic non-crash-related deaths for children under 14. Sadly, from 1998-2020, a total of 882 children died due to vehicular heatstroke. This tragedy is 100% preventable.
National Heatstroke Prevention Day is May 1, 2021. Help the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration share life-saving tips and resources with the Heatstroke Prevention Toolkit.
